Restaurants

  • Seven Cafe

Umbrian cuisine in a homey and comfortable space by brothers Chef Andrea Fisoli and maitre d’ Michele. The menu changes seasonally but not the quality. Always order the house made pasta. They also arrange truffle hunts. This restaurant is the closest to Il Querceto.

  • Ristorante Da Nilo

One of our favorite restaurants and Michelin Guide recommended as well, Da Nilo is located in charming Cetona. You can’t go wrong with the typical Tuscan menu, and although Michelin recommends the meat dishes, we love their pici pasta.

  • Il Capitano del Popolo

  • Taverna di San Giuseppe

This traditional restaurant built into the hillside makes the best ribollita or Tuscan bean soup, a specialty of the area. I would go back just for this soup. Everything on the menu is delicious but the soup… did I mention the soup?

  • La Parolina

A one star Michelin restaurant in San Casciano led by Chefs Iside and Romano De Cesare. Do yourself a favor and savor the tasting menu while enjoying the countryside views. The dessert tasting from the various regions of Italy was a highlight last time we were there.

  • Trattoria Bruno Coppetta

In the City of Stone, Citta della Pieve, is this lovely gem cranking out the best housemade pasta and meats. I wouldn’t say the cheese wheel was invented here, but they do a brilliant job with it.
